Medical Transport Learjet 36R/X Arrives In Honolulu

Primary Mission Will Be For Critical Transport To U.S. Mainland

The aircraft is permanently configured as an air ambulance, including an ECG monitor with hands-free pacer defibrillator. AirMed is also capable of transporting critically ill ECMO patients.

AirMed’s Lear has worldwide operational authority, allowing it to not only service Hawaii, but also support AirMed’s national and international operations. AirMed anticipates the Lear will be in service regularly to the mainland each month.

“We are pleased to add the capability of long-range transports from Honolulu,” said Sandra Apter, Program Director of AirMed Pacific Operations. “The Lear will also allow for more efficiency in turn-around times for the emergency medical teams that accompany patients in-flight.”
